During the Occupation, André Zucca, "reporter-photographer" corresponding French Signal, accumulation snapshots in black and white. But it was the only Frenchman to have dandruff Agfacolor hard to find at that time. The color is somewhat esthete he played, to make Stimmung (untranslatable term, say "the atmosphere") of a city whose charm seemed almost intact, despite - or with - the presence of the occupant. His Paris occupied or not breathing or misfortune exclusion. What stops the target Zucca, rather it is the Paris where he was still live, where social events continued as if nothing had happened. Chic cafes in the most exclusive neighborhoods are full. Races at Longchamp, since 1941, enable to compete elegant hats apparently very difficult to carry, but if they allowed exuberant later said they were mainly used to impress the boorish German and thus to save the honor of the capital. The Paris is a Paris Zucca a little empty, but serene, almost out of time. These color photographs certainly reflect the undoubted talent of a great professional, but still the eyes and the pleasure of a Paris esthete emphasis of its own.
