On Wednesday 22nd July, Claire de Rouen will host the launch of ‘Unofficial Dnipro: The Plunging Shore’, the inaugural edition of Unofficial, a new publishing project exploring places through the eyes of those who know them intimately.
Edited by Adam Murray and creatively directed by Ben McLaughlin, the publication brings together work by Eugenia Skvarska and Kalpesh Lathigra in a portrait of Dnipro and its surrounding landscapes. Moving between photography, portraiture and observation, the project offers a view of Ukraine shaped by everyday experience, memory and place.
Conceived as a series of hometowns, Unofficial explores locations from the inside out, focusing on personal perspectives rather than official narratives. The Plunging Shore marks the first edition of the series and is published in an edition of 450 copies, printed in Italy by Grafiche Veneziane.
The evening will celebrate the launch of the publication with drinks and copies available on the night.
