Screening and talk: 'In Her Words' with Ablondi and Thérèse Raffoul

Join us for the second episode of ‘In Her Words’, a series of public conversations discussing feminist herstories and aesthetics, curated by Ablondi.

The first episode took place last year at La Libreria Delle Donne di Milano to celebrate its 50th birthday.

For this second iteration, we will meet on the 22nd of June at the newly reopened Claire de Rouen Books for a screening of Delphine Seyrig and Carole Roussopoulos (Les Insoumuses) 1976 short, ‘S.C.U.M. Manifesto’, based on Valerie Solanas’ radical text of the same name; kindly granted by the Centre Audovisuel Simone de Beauvoir, which was founded by Delphine and Carole themselves in the hope of creating a visual and cinematic feminist archive. They are doing a great job keeping it alive; check it out!

Leading the conversation this time is London-based Lebanese designer Thérèse Raffoul, who will respond to the film with a discussion of retaliatory womanhood, which she continually explores in her practice.

There will be Lambrusco, popcorn, and more!
