Fragile Face Lay Flat published by Venetia Scott and Sion and Moore to accompany Scott's exhibition of the same name at Matches, 5 Carlos Place (17-28 September 2019). 

The book presents all the works from Scott’s new series, which she created by cropping images from her archive of fashion editorials and campaigns, leaving only the models' faces. The resulting portraits stand apart from their original contexts, drawing attention to each girl's strong, distinctive gaze. They are beautifully eerie, looking as if they might have been taken from missing person files. The face of each girl captivates the viewer but stops short of telling us everything we might want to know.
